Open Position: Sales Assistant (40 - 60 %)

Basel Precision Instrument GmbH offers high-end, ultra-low-noise and ultra-stable electronics for quantum research. A spin-off of the University of Basel, our team of low-noise electronic experts works closely with the University's quantum and low-temperature research groups. We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our sales operations by handling customer correspondence, sending offers and invoices, and ensuring timely follow-up. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing sales documentation and data sheets to assist our sales representatives. If you are a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and possess both an apprenticeship and work experience, we encourage you to apply.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Engage in prompt and professional customer correspondence to address inquiries and provide product information.

  • Prepare and send out offers and invoices to clients with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Proactively follow up with customers to ensure their needs are met and to gather feedback on products and services.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to prepare sales documentations, presentations, and data sheets.

  • Assist in maintaining customer databases and updating relevant sales records.

  • Provide administrative support to the sales team as needed.

 

Strengths of the candidates:

  • Completed apprenticeship or vocational training in a relevant field.

  • Demonstrated work experience in a sales support or administrative role is advantageous.

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and German.

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
